EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, Phil Fairclough
Phil Fairclough is one of the foremost producers of reality based television and film working today. In 2005, he was the Executive Producer of Werner Herzog’s critically acclaimed Grizzly Man. Prior to joining Creative Differences in 2006 as EVP of Production and Development, Phil was SVP of production at Discovery Channel US. In his post at Discovery, he oversaw more than 900 original hours per year - and supervised several hit series, including Mythbusters and American Chopper. In addition to producing several series for Creative Differences, Phil is currently executive producing both Herzog’s Encounters at the End of the World, which is nominated for an Academy Award as best documentary, and the feature documentary DreamRiders.
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER & PRODUCER, William S Roulston
Born and raised in Washington State in the US, William Roulston’s filmmaking career began in the field of education. It was as a teacher of English and a consultant in Education Reform that he learned to weave the strands of everyday life into stories that help make sense of the world. Soon after helping Granger High School win national recognition for their success in using his Second Shot Reading program, he began the production of DreamRiders.
Fueled by the dream of rebuilding his broken relationship with his son, Nico, and wanting to inspire others on their own paths to reconciliation, he quit his teaching job, sold his house and used all his savings—and eventually a large chunk of his retirement—to fund the production of the show, which involved a crew of five, film truck and 29’ RV, resulting in 320 hours of raw footage. Will is now writing Dreams Unstuck, a chronicle of his DreamRiders experience, and planning other productions.
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER & PRODUCER, Charlie Sadoff
Charlie Sadoff is the founder and president of Mighty Pictures, Inc. located in New York City. His work as a producer, writer and editor has been met with both critical acclaim and the industry's highest awards.
In 2000, Charlie was a writer, producer and editor of the 10-hour documentary, The Rites of Autumn, The Story of College Football which aired on ESPN and was released on Home Video and DVD by Lions Gate. Since then he has produced several documentaries for the NBA, ESPN and CBS as well as 2 documentary specials for The History Channel. Currently, Charlie is producing the feature documentary film DreamRiders due out in theaters in spring ’09 and scheduled to air on the Travel Channel in summer ’09.
EDITOR, Andrew Ford
Andey Ford is one of the most sought after editors of non-fiction television and film in both America and the UK. His credits include PBS’s Emmy Nominated Frontier House, HBO’s first verite only series Family Bonds and the independent feature film A Walk To Beautiful, which won the Audience Award at the San Francisco Film Festival and won the International Documentary Association’s Feature Documentary Award as the top film of 2007.
ASSOCIATE PRODUCER, Nico Roulston
Nico Roulston is a young man who has done many things young men his age have not. He also has missed out on many things that most young men have done. Somewhere from that turbulent life has risen a man who is ready to face the world. Already an associate producer on a documentary film, as well as one of the main characters captured in this film, Nico has discovered a passion for filmmaking and a sense of freedom in being able to do whatever he sets his mind to.
Nico currently resides in California 3000 miles away from his father, but what could be better than a two-pronged attack on the filmmaking world? In between working as a bartender and going to school full time, Nico has been able to help out with the film in small but significant ways. As life pans out in front of him he plans to start his own businesses to finance his newfound passion. The years to come will be the time to watch this young man, for he will change the world even if only in the smallest way.
